Congratulations PastaQueen! You have no idea how inspiring you have been to me! I can’t wait for my scales to show a number in the 100’s too!!!! I’ve only got 37 more lbs to go for that…

Also, I want to offer my condolences on the Kroger issues. Perhaps if you talked to the frozen food manager, you might convince him to carry the items again. If necessary, recruit friends/family members to go in (not all at once, of course! LOL) and chat him up about the same items. Maybe if he thinks there’s a giant need for them he will bring them back! (And shame on me, I didn’t read through the comments on that post so if this has already been mentioned, kindly disregard.)

Ok, enough outta me! Congrats again and keep up the FANTASTIC work!

Great! Congrats!

But I’m curious, what happened to your feet? Is it just genetic? An accident? Sorry…just really curious.

PermalinkReply

PastaQueen • November 16, 2006 at 2:20 pm

Kym – Heh, that’s fine. I thought about explaining my feet in the post, but that would have nixed the whole “No words necessary” theme. They’re called bunions and they’re genetic. My grandmother had them too. I talked about them in this post a while back. They’re not painful, just weird looking.

PastaQueen • November 16, 2006 at 10:22 pm

jae – Exercise has been very important in my weight loss. It helps you gain or at least sustain muscle mass. If you don’t exercise part of the weight you lose is muscle. That’s bad because muscle mass burns calories just sitting around which helps you lose fat. Also, exercising makes you feel fitter and healthier, which is a great way to live. You have to put aside the temporary uncomfortablness of exercising in the interest of how good it will make you feel in the long run.

My eyes have teared up. I would so like to see this number myself. I know I’m late to your blog, but am so enjoying reading it every day and applauding your progress and getting inspired to keep trying myself. I’m much older than you, 59, and am having a hard time trying to exercise, bad knees, bad shoulders, bad hips. But last summer I weighed 324 and now I weigh 281, so I keep trying.
