On a whim I took the stairs to my 4th floor office today – without keeling over or pulling my knee. Go me! It was difficult getting to the top, but not nearly as much as it was a year and 95 lbs. ago. I took a short breather on the 3rd floor, but was still able to get to the top without completely gasping for breath. I was certainly winded and panting at the top, but I think I can actually start doing this daily. The real test was to see if my knee would go out and it didn’t. Thank goodness. It’s rather hard to hop up the stairs. Hopefully they are healing from the days when I weighed 372 lbs.
