I have a feeling that if I Twittered it would be another amusing thing that would prevent me doing any work, ever... is this so? Or does it just sound like it?

We obviously have different connotations of the word shot. Ice Cream Shots makes me think that if I eat them, I will get drunk and then possibly very sick.

Look, congrats on all you've done and for being happy and motivating all these people. Yay for you. But, in case you didn't realize it, you have become arrogant. The more one reads your posts, the more one recognizes that. If you had stayed that nerdy little fat girl inside, while accomplishing what you accomplished quietly (or at least non-arrogantly) maybe it would have been better. But what the hell do you care about my opinion? I'm just a faceless chick, who, for all you know, is really just taking out her insecurities on you.

All I know is that it took me a long time to lose weight - but I did it quietly, patiently and successfully. I didn't need congratulations, I didn't need to share or boast, I didn't need - and still don't need - an audience to cheer me on. I have maintained my weight (96 lbs. at 5'2") for four years. I went from a size 14 to a size 00 and you don't see me walking around like the rule the earth.

I would have preferred it if you stayed nerdy little fat Jennette inside, while looking great outside.

But again, who gives a shit about what I have to say. Good for you.

I love using the pronoun one. It makes one sound more important that one usually is and one generally reserves it for prounouncements that are meant to trancend one's personal experience and include the public at large. One can be extremely grandiose that way.

I fear Twitter as I have quite enough to be addicted to right now, but since you've upped the ante by combining "free" and Ice cream--two of my favorite things--I might have to take the plunge.

So I might. Or I might not. One never knows...

And it's really not clear to me what the "arrogant" criticism was aimed at. That PQ has a blog? That other people have found that blog and find her funny? That she got a book deal out of it? There are some arrogant bloggers out there, but I have to say that PQ strikes me as one of the most "this is what I think, what do y'all think?".

Is Annoyed someone who knows PQ in real life and has been rejected by her personally? Or did annoyed just leave some comments that didn't get a response because, you know, there are a lot of comments on any PQ post? Will this mystery ever be solved?

This is a fascinating experience to me, talking to someone who usually seems normal and fun but who is screaming mad about something. They seem crazy, they're making mountains out of molehills, things are very Black and White, and they make these claims that are contentless because there's no objective FACT in it. I have a friend who does this, and only sometimes can I talk her down. Other times, she turns on me. Even much later, I don't dare bring up the subject because it's like she has permanent blinders on to any kind of perspective in the situation.

Do most people do this some of the time? I think that I get angry/overtired sometimes, but can find perspective later.

ANYWAY. i saw rg mention mit people. are there mit people reading this blog besides me?! that is so exciting! nerds are the best.
