I got with Anne – not my real name but what I go by whenever I am ordering at a counter. I always use the same one so I will actually answer to it when they call it out. Even though they could spell it different ways I’ve never been asked about its spelling. The only people who give me looks when using it are friends that I’m with.

There is only one solution to this problem, especially if you want to keep it close to your real name & that’s Jane. Nothing else that is close to your name is as concrete. But I’ll bet the Jane’s of the world wish just once that someone would spell thier name wrong. lol
