Love this idea – it’s one I’ve played around with also. I also thought about the same song covered by different artists, and a themed CD – Driving Songs was one I began. Anyway, since I have been on the planet longer that most of you, let me add:
These Days – Jackson Browne, Allman Brothers, Dan Fogelberg, and I bet a bunch more.

FYI, if you’re ever interested in getting your 6th grade band concert on CD, they make devices for transferring cassette to CD now, and some of them are pretty inexpensive. I see them advertised in the coupon papers from time to time but I bet you could find a decent one on Amazon that has reviews.

I have a few things on tape I’m not willing to give up just yet so that’s on the agenda for me.

There’s another terrific song called “Breathe” on the cast album of the 2008 Broadway musical “In the Heights.”

Seems like you could do a whole mix tape of just songs called “Breathe.” Big fun!

What about similar titles, off only by a couple of letters: ‘Centerfield’ by John Fogerty, and ‘Centerfold’ by J. Geils Band. (Of course, this identifies me as having been on the planet way longer than you!)
