Tech question: Anyone having trouble viewing the blog?

One of my readers recently let me know she is having problems accessing the blog, but is still able to read entries via the RSS feed. When she visits the site, she gets this error:

Method Not Implemented

GET to /blog not supported.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I’ve tried to figure out what’s going on here, but it seems to be beyond my area of expertise. To further confuse matters, the reader is using the Firefox browser, which I myself use, but I’m not experiencing any problems. If you are running into the same problem, or if you think you might know what’s going on, email me at blog (at) pastaqueen {dot} com. Thanks!

I am using Firefox, and I’m not having any issues.

Anonymous Fat Girl • May 23, 2010 at 10:38 am

I haven’t had any issues whatsoever. I am subscribed to your RSS feed thru Google Reader and use FireFox as my default browser.

I’m curious if she is subscribed to your feed before you switched blogging platforms and maybe that’s the issue – perhaps your feed didn’t get switched over or something?

I use Chrome and can see both just fine.

@Anonymous Fat Girl – I thought about that, but she’s tried visiting the main address http://www.pastaqueen.com/ and gets the same problem.

It seems like it’s just her — I wonder if clearing her cache would help.

Nicole • May 23, 2010 at 9:03 pm

FireFox v. 3.6.3 working well.

Anonymous Fat Girl • May 23, 2010 at 10:12 pm

@PastaQueen – Maybe she’s technologically challenged? Or most likely she has an issue on her end. Don’t ya hate these type of issues when there’s not always a clear cut answer?

adrienne • May 24, 2010 at 12:49 pm

Here’s another vote for clearing the cache (and the first one for deleting cookies).

anonymous coward • May 24, 2010 at 9:26 pm

@Anonymous Fat Girl – I’ve being able to reproduce the issue, extremely rare problem. I sent all the details to PQ so she can have a chat with the webhosting crew :)

Jennette Fulda tells stories to the Internet about her life as a smartass, writer, weight-loss inspiration, chronic headache sufferer, and overall nice person (who is silently judging you). She does this at JenFul now, but you can still have fun perusing her past here.

Justin Bieber chastised audience for clapping on the offbeat: The biggest challenge facing musicians at shows is audiences with bad rhythm.
I'm linking to this because of the video of Harry Connick Jr. at the bottom, who manages to throw in an extra beat in the middle of a song to get people to start clapping on the offbeat without them even realizing. Mad skillz!
