Moving is the pits! We moved in August, in Florida, in 100 degree weather. If I had still weighed 300 pounds I would have fallen over for sure! Congrats on the new place and I’ll bet your old neighbor can tell their connections are faster since you aren’t borrowing their Wi-Fi anymore!!

Pizza is mandatory moving food. You must always have pizza. Beer is not quite so mandatory, but is often good to use as bribery items for the hired help!

If you gave me a choice between moving or, say, drinking a bucket of monkey snot my first instinct would be to ask to see the size of the bucket before I made any decisions…

I'm sure you've probably heard of this before, but have you tried those weird pheromone plug ins for your cats? They're these: http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2755197 Though I don't know what brand is best. My friend has two cats that haaaaaaaaate each other and the big fat orange one likes to chase the neurotic brown one around and be a pest, and my friend told me that the situation is a lot better now with that plug in, and that her brown cat will even come downstairs now on her own. Before the plug in, my friend had to carry her brown cat downstairs, give her a tour to show the absence of fat orange cat, and then mayyyyybe the brown neurotic cat would use the kitty litter box rather than my friends carpet. Woo!

It is amazing how much stuff we can accumulate unless we move often and purge anything unnecessary only for the fact we don’t want to have to MOVE it.

I hope your calf is feeling better.

I’ve never heard of any cable company showing up on time. It must be like hitting the lottery – 1 in a million.

It’s not the moving /out/ of a 2nd story apt that’s the problem, it’s moving /into/ one. Or a 3rd story apt.
