if you are seriously craving, I’d be happy to send them your way – we get them for both kids CONSTANTLY! It’s a fundraiser, remember, so they are relentless. No phone calls – this I appreciate so much. But seriously, the weigh like nothing, I’d be happy to send them to you. Feel free to purchase Bratz, or some of the other nasty stuff out there, but it’s all about the shopping, right?

I LOVED the Scholastic Book Club! Those soft, paperback books smelled so nice when they arrived. I was also a sucker for stickers.

I teach in a University and I hand them out to my Children’s Lit students–adults love these as much as the kids do!

Oh, they still do them, at least in Florida. I sub down here and I have had to pass them out to *several* classes. So take heart, they do still exsist. Would you perhaps like me to try and find one for you (an extra etc) and send it to you for nostalgia’s sake?

I LOVED Scholastic Book Club!!

Sometimes my order was the one that allowed us to get ANY…there was some kind of minimum required.

“Little House in the Big Woods” was the first book I ever bought from them. I poured over each offering, arranging and rearranging my list. My parents were readers so I don’t remember them ever telling me I couldn’t order books.

What a great memory! Thanks for bringing it up!

My kids get these too. Or I should say GOT them in elementary school. No book club for teenagers… sigh.

I remember loving those when I was younger. My daughter brings them home now but we seldom order because she either already has all the books, or what she wants is bundled with a bunch of overpriced junk. But they really are great to look at! :)
